Important Covid-19 Information: San Mateo County has amended its public health order to state that all parents must place their children in “secondary households” for three-week-long blocks. In an effort to preserve this, registration is restricted to three-week-long blocks. With this, we will still honor our refund policy and offer refunds if school schedules change or camp can no longer operate.

School Break Camp for Ages 4-12

School break camps are for children ages 4-12 during days when school is out because of holidays or staff development. Campers must not be registered for any other programs (educational or otherwise), other than school, at the time of registration. Camp runs from 9AM-4PM with lunch included. Drop-ins are strictly prohibited during COVID. Registration online is mandatory.

About the Location

At GrowFit Redwood City, your children will experience a sports camp like no other. From the minute they walk into the indoor, climate controlled facility at SportsHouse, they will experience large enclosed indoor soccer fields, volleyball courts and basketball courts. SportsHouse also features an indoor restaurant that handles our nutritious lunches called Kicks Grill.

SportsHouse has safety, sanitization, and security as its top priority. GrowFit, along with SportsHouse, has a comprehensive sanitization policy, as well as one of the only facilities in the area that houses part of the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

Important Covid Safety Protocols

Masks: According to the California Department of Public Health, face coverings are required for children in 3rd grade and above. It includes that for 2 yrs-2nd grade mask-wearing is “highly recommended.” Considering this and that campers may be in mixed groups, GrowFit will require ALL campers to wear face masks. Exemptions are made for children with medical notes.

Breaks: There will be frequent rest breaks inside and mask breaks outside. Masks will not be worn during meals. If a child has paperwork for mask exemption, please include a note in the allergies section when registering.

Cohorts: Camp will run under “bubble cohorts” which means that due to county Covid regulations, families are required to sign up for 3 weeks at a time and this must be the only camp or program (educational, sports, etc), other than school, that the child is signed up for. Therefore, campers cannot be enrolled in multiple camp cohorts either.

Visit our safety page for more details and steps we are taking to ensure the safety of families and staff.

GrowFit uses these resources to set protocols for camp. Disinfecting and space limitation guidelines are followed.
